Welcome to the Eurokollektiv website. This is just a simple place where we show our work. We also write some thoughts about design.
We are a group of independent graphic designers. We come from Denmark, Germany, Poland, Slovenia, Latvia, and the Netherlands. We work in our own separate studios. But we think the same way about our work. We believe that design must have a clear purpose.
Our style is somewhat split. On one side, we like clean, Scandinavian minimalism. On the other side, we have a heavy appreciation for the design history of Europe. Because of this split, we like to work with basic geometric shapes and clean lines. We often look back at old European movements. We try to make historic ideas fit into modern homes today. It is a good challenge for us.
We make things like vintage posters or typographic layouts that are a cool clothing graphic. When we work, we focus a lot on structure. We also prefer quiet colours. We do not want our designs to be too loud or make too much noise.
We created Eurokollektiv because we believe that independent creators work better when they stand together. On our website, we share our latest designs, write about our design processes, and show how a simple piece of graphic art can change the atmosphere of a room.
This website is managed by Anja Klint. She lives both in Denmark and in Poland and moves between the two countries quite often. This is probably why she likes this mix of Northern simplicity and Central European history. It is a fine way to live and create.
